Your small town in Missouri’s Bootheel in southeast Missouri draws residents and businesses in the area for many events during the year – but the biggest is definitely the town’s annual peach fair in August.
The peach fair started in 1944 as a one-day event with a picnic, barbecue and prizes to the farmers for the best peaches. It’s since grown to a seven-day celebration of a good year’s harvest. Now called the Missouri Peach Fair, the event includes carnival rides, arcade games, food stands, pageant contests, and raffle drawings.
