Why did Sparklight Business change its policy on DVRs?

A:

In order to comply with Federal copyright laws and network programmers' licensing restrictions, we no longer are able to provide recording devices such as Digital Video Records (DVRs) to business entities. As a result, we need to replace all existing Sparklight Business-provider DVRs with HD Receivers. To ensure you don't experience a service disruption, all DVRs must be replaced by May 15, 2018. As soon as possible, please call (866) 460-9283 to schedule a convenient time for us to visit your business location and replace your equipment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
